Privacy Policy

1. Overview

no7ch (no7ch.com and the iOS · Android apps, the "Service") is a career-logging service operated by beside Co. ("we"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, and when and how it is deleted.

Our approach is simple: we collect only what the Service needs to run, we use no advertising or tracking SDKs, and your records always belong to you.

2. What we collect

• Account (required): email address and sign-in identifiers — Google or Apple sign-in, or an email magic link (via Supabase Auth)
• Account (optional): your name
• Profile (optional): handle, display name, role, bio, external links
• Content: the logs you write and the images you attach
• Device and settings: push notification token (if you enable app notifications), language, timezone
• Automatic: minimal access logs (IP address, timestamps) needed for operation and security

We do not use advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs. When payments launch, billing details will be collected and processed directly by our payment provider (Polar); we will not store card numbers or other payment credentials, and we will update this policy before that change takes effect.

3. How we use it

• Providing the Service: storing and organizing your logs, generating outputs, and publishing your public profile (only the items you explicitly make public)
• Notifications: weekly logging reminders by email and push — you can turn these off in Settings at any time
• Account management: sign-in, verification, and support
• Safety: preventing abuse, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations

We never sell your personal data, and we never use it for advertising.

4. Processors we share data with

We share data only with the service providers below, and only so they can perform work on our behalf under data processing agreements.

When payments launch, Polar (Merchant of Record, US) will be added for payment processing, with notice before the change takes effect.

5. International transfers

We operate from the Republic of Korea, and the processors above store or process data outside your country — primarily in Japan and the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by the providers' data processing agreements and standard contractual safeguards.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. When you request account deletion, everything is permanently erased after a 30-day grace period; signing in during that period cancels the deletion.

Records we are legally required to keep (for example payment and transaction records under Korean e-commerce law, retained up to 5 years, and access logs retained 3 months) are stored separately for the required period and then destroyed.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or CCPA may give you specific rights over your data — access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection or restriction of processing. We extend these to all users regardless of location, and we will never discriminate against you for exercising them.

• Export: download all of your data as JSON or Markdown anytime in Settings > Export — always free
• Correction: edit your profile and logs directly in the Service
• Deletion: delete your account anytime in Settings > Account deletion (permanent after the 30-day grace period)

8. Cookies

We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in and remember your language. No advertising or tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but sign-in will not persist.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will announce it in the Service at least 7 days before it takes effect — or 30 days for material changes such as new data categories or purposes. This policy takes effect on August 1, 2026.
